Intelligent forestry information system

The forest resources are most important resources on the earth, the foundation of biodiversity and one of the essential resources for human survival. The China is resource scarce, and the forest scarce is the most. The country has a land area of 9.6 million square kilometers, accounting for the 7% of the world total, and population of 1.4 billion, accounting for the 22% of the world total, while the forest areas are only accounts for 4.6% of total. Once a forest fire occur, the large area of lush and verdant forests turned into ashes, cause the serious loss to the country and collectives. At the same time the forest land is prone to soil erosion, water, draught, sandstorm, and other disasters, this will affect the stable and high agricultural production, and even affecting the ecological environment, and sustainable development of entire regions.

Smart forestry information system

Based on this, Beijing Tianzheng high tech utilized Lora IoT wireless communication technology to integrate a variety of advanced forest ecological environment monitoring devices and launched a smart forestry information system. It based on "deep Thinking Brain" which integrates function such as meteorology, hydrology, water quality, and pests monitoring and warnings. The various monitoring sub-module operates through long-distance, low-power wireless communication, thereby achieving the automatic, real-time, continuous data collection, transmission, analysis, display, alarm and other functions of the entire system, making it easier for management personnel to grasp the data of various ecological elements of the forest area in real time.

System functions

Smart forestry information system

Meteorological monitoring:

Through the application of multi-element meteorological monitoring stations, the system can obtain real-time micro-environmental meteorological information of various stations in the forest area, like air temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, light intensity, solar radiation, and rainfall, etc., which is convenient for management personnel to grasp forest area meteorological data in real-time. At the same time, a sound warning system can also enable administrators to obtain the abnormal meteorological information at the first time, which can effectively avoid the occurrence of disasters.

Smart forestry information system

Hydrological monitoring:

Using advanced profile flow and velocity monitoring equipment, through Lora Internet of Things long-distance wireless transmission and GPRS (4G/3G/2G) communication, the system can obtain hydrological information such as flow, direction, flow speed, water temperature, and water level of rivers and channels in real time.

Smart forestry information system

Water quality monitoring:

Based on Lora's low-power, long-distance wireless water quality monitoring equipment, the system can monitor water quality information such as pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, turbidity, chlorophyll, etc. in real time, providing accurate and detailed first-hand data to the competent authorities.

Smart forestry information system

Pest and disease monitoring:

By utilizing the intelligent IoT pests monitoring equipment, the system can monitor and collect pests status information in monitored area at real time, and conducts remote diagnosis of harmful organisms, and provide early warning information for forestry pests. This can be effectively improve the information, automation, and technological level of forest pests and disease monitoring. The prevention and control, and management, achieving the requirements of rapid location, rapid deployment, command, and precise management of pests and disease.

System Features

Comprehensive and diverse monitoring equipment:

By using LORA IoT wireless communication technology, meteorological, hydro-logical, water quality and pest monitoring equipment, all can be easily deployed at multiple monitoring sites.

Easy to deploy and maintain:

The monitoring nodes and monitoring base stations communicate wireless through the Lora Internet of Things, with a stable communication distance of up to 2500M-8000M without any cables or buried pipes, and greatly improving the convenience of deployment and later maintenance.

Advanced node collection functions:

Sensor nodes have low power consumption, data caching, active reporting and other functions to ensure that data can be uploaded completely and stably during long-term use.

Complete early warning system:

After the system detects abnormal sensor information, it can immediately send early warning information to managers through various methods such as web messages, text messages, and WeChat messages.

Strong scalability:

The system can be connected to cameras for security monitoring, and can also use GIS geographic information technology, software technology, computer network technology, and modern communication technology to establish a forest fire prevention command application software platform to improve the efficiency and informatization level of forest fire prevention management.
