The Northeast Gate Lawn Sprinkler Irrigation Construction Project of Peking University is a collaborative project with Beijing Green Jinghua Ecological Landscape Co., Ltd. The project covers an area of 20000 square meters and aims to transform the original green space rapid water intake valve irrigation mode into a remote automated sprinkler irrigation mode.

Reason for renovation:
1、The original green space was irrigated with a water intake valve, which required manual connection of the water intake valve and pipe pulling for watering every time.
2、The original irrigation mode has significant limitations and drawbacks. High water consumption, long manual work hours, and serious work arbitrariness.
3、Uneven watering and rough watering methods.
4、During the day, there are many tourists and students, and pulling pipes to water them affects the appearance, affects the travel of tourists and students, and poses safety hazards.
Renovation plan:
Upgraded to Tianzheng High tech Wireless Automatic Irrigation System, adding irrigation controller+solenoid valve, wireless gateway, buried pipeline, buried nozzle, connected to Tianzheng High tech Intelligent Control System, realizing automatic irrigation control of the Northeast Gate lawn.
Functional features of the solution:
1、Valves can be remotely controlled through mobile apps, tablets, and desktop computers, greatly improving irrigation efficiency and allowing real-time monitoring of the operating status of terminal devices.
2、Real time sensing of soil conditions can be achieved by installing wireless soil moisture sensors and wireless soil pH sensors.
3、By installing a small weather station in the park, the evaporation rate of the area within the park can be calculated, providing more basis for the actual water demand for irrigation.
4、Automatic rotation irrigation can be set in the background, adopting the method of automatic watering at night, which does not affect the daytime travel of tourists and students.
5、Equipment abnormal alarm can quickly locate the fault location and provide guarantee for the normal operation of the system.
6、Backend big data centralized statistics provide data support for precise lawn maintenance in the later stage.

After a period of operation and statistics, the irrigation efficiency has significantly improved, water consumption has been saved by over 30%, labor costs have been reduced by more than 35%, and the green lawn has grown vigorously, fully meeting the requirements of the project renovation. It has been unanimously recognized by Beijing Green Jinghua Company and Peking University Engineering.
