As a strong industrial town in Haishu District, Gulin Town has over 4000 enterprises on its 47 square kilometers of land. Last year, the town achieved a regional gross domestic product of 16.05 billion yuan, ranking first in Haishu District in terms of economic output. The total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size was 11.08 billion yuan, and the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size was 2.24 billion yuan.

Nowadays, Maoxin Village has built the Smart Agriculture Maoxin Park, which is one of the ten suburban parks in Ningbo with "space agriculture" and digital agriculture as its core. It is linked with the Ningbo Family Style Museum and the China (Haishu) Imperial Censorate Culture Exhibition Hall located in the village, creating a high-end agricultural, cultural, tourism and sightseeing area. Last year, it received 350000 visitors and became an effective carrier for promoting common prosperity.

This project covers a total area of 300 acres, with two pump rooms divided into one sunlight greenhouse, one linked greenhouse, and 55 film greenhouses. The two pump rooms are equipped with intelligent water and fertilizer integration equipment, automatic irrigation equipment, data acquisition equipment, fully automatic sand and gravel filters+automatic laminated filters, and two sets of remote water and fertilizer integration control. Two sets of constant voltage variable frequency cabinets, one set of meteorological station, multiple in one sensors (temperature, humidity, light, carbon dioxide, etc.), and 48 sets of wireless irrigation solenoid valves are used to achieve wheel irrigation or remote control with mobile phones or computers.
